new Dutch brig, MORGENSTER














This new Dutch brig was launched on 2 June 2008. She had 7 m added to her original length, and her stem bow was replaced with a clipper bow. MORGENSTER can accomodate 44 overnight passengers. Heer homeport is Den Helder, Netherlands.

clippers STAD AMSTERDAM & CISNE BRANCO meet




The 2 clipper ships, CISNE BRANCO (white hull)
and STAD AMSTERDAM met in Den Helder
on August 22nd, 2008.
Both clippers were built in Amsterdam, 1999-2000, but had not visited the same port at the same time since thier launches.
Captain from CISNE BRANCO and STAD AMSTERDAM celebratged the occasion with toasts,
and and the sharing of "sea tales".
