new Dutch brig, MORGENSTER
This new Dutch brig was launched on 2 June 2008. She had 7 m added to her original length, and her stem bow was replaced with a clipper bow. MORGENSTER can accomodate 44 overnight passengers. Heer homeport is Den Helder, Netherlands.

There are two sailing vessels named Morgenster. Mine was built in 1893 in Leiderdorp Holland. She is a single masted gaff rigged Dutch Sailing Barge of 73' in length. She is in Baltimore MD.
Morgenster looked magnificent as she sailed up the Thames this morning past Gravesend. We have never seen a square rigger come up under sail before. Welcome!
